Last week we welcomed just over 200 guests to our community Iftar. The event featured beautiful moments, including three of our Year 11 students performing nasheeds, adding a heartfelt musical element as guests from across the community came together to share food.
Iftar, the evening meal served at sunset during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, was open to all members of our school community and their families. Guests were invited to enjoy the meal together, with optional prayers available for those who wished to participate. The meal was offered free of charge, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
The evening included a voluntary charity collection for Green Crescent Charity, run by former students of Carlton Keighley. This organisation provides essential humanitarian aid to vulnerable populations both in the UK and abroad, allowing attendees to give back while celebrating the spirit of Ramadan.
We look forward to continuing to celebrate the values of generosity, reflection, and togetherness at future community events.
That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.
If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
