Head of School, Mark Turvey proudly said of the report: “The feedback from the report is absolutely fantastic, and a really authentic reflection of the school’s strong culture, ethos and values. I want to thank every single member of our community; staff, families, and most of all the students. This report is a reflection of them, their fantastic hard work, their character, and the way they embody our core values of ambition, resilience and respect.”
The praise in the report is the latest step on the school’s trajectory of improvement over recent years since joining the Carlton Academy Trust. Alongside the fantastic feedback, already this year the school has sustained attendance rates at above national and local averages, achieved external accreditation with both the National Arts Mark and Careers Mark awards, seen sporting success in Bradford-wide tournaments, and received more applications than ever for places into Year 7, resulting in the school being oversubscribed.
On the journey of improvement, the school has been on in recent years, Mr Turvey commented: “Having worked at the school for over ten years, it is amazing to see the school flourish and become a beacon for high quality education in the local area. We are proud to be the school of choice for the community we serve. We will still be considering appeals for allocations to places in Year 7 and would encourage families who were disappointed not to be awarded a place to do so”.
Thank you to everyone – staff, families and students; this report is a reflection of your amazing work.
